Teresia teaches in the Master and Bachelor of Social Work at RMIT. She is also a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne. In her PhD, Teresia is working with the African community in Melbourne to develop a culturally responsive model for working with Africans in child welfare. Her research interests are in child protection, cross-cultural work, community work and international social work education.
Teresia is also a program manager for Community Beam Inc (CBI). In 2015 and 2016, Community Beam, in partnership with DHHS, ran CBI Save Our Daughters project which provided education and raised awareness on women circumcision. Teresia developed and managed this project.
