Sanchita Abrol is Program Lead of the Impact Evaluation Team at Community Based Health Project, University of Melbourne.
Sanchita advises on health, education and social inequality in local communities. She holds a Masters of Public Policy and Management from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelors of Commerce from Delhi University. Sanchita’s research interest is in the area of community development with a particular focus on health and education. Her approach focuses on utilising participatory processes, civic engagement, and gender and community development. Sanchita has previously held the following positions:
• Program Associate at Sakshi (India)
• Policy Researcher at Save the Children (Australia)
• Intern at Human Rights Law Network (India)
Sanchita is also a renowned Indian Classical Kathak danseuse and cultural entrepreneur, preserving and promoting Indian culture. She believes in creating awareness about social issues through her dance productions, making dance a veritable medium to relate with women, children, environment and other such issues.
