Nathan is a third year medical student at The University of Melbourne. He is the current Chair of AMSA Global Health, and has always had a strong passion for global health. Throughout his time at university, Nathan has been heavily involved with numerous student groups and not for profit groups dedicated to tackling global health inequities, including as President of the Melbourne
University Health Initiative. Additionally he was a member of the successful Melbourne University team to the Emory University Global Health Case Competition in Atlanta last year.
Over the past few years, he has also been involved in a number of public and private consulting projects. Highlights of this include the working on the evaluation framework for the NDIS, working with the Department of Education on an expenditure and efficacy review of their programs as well as with a major health insurance provider to improve their customer offering. However by far the coolest moment was when he worked on the team, coaching and support structures for a Victorian AFL club to design their Women’s team.
