Jeanine is a part-time Master of Public Health student and full-time public policy professional. She is passionate about refugee and migrant health, and her passion stems from her own refugee background. Her experiences include working as the Continuous Quality Improvement Officer in the Health Program at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre and working for CARE Interational in a Syrian refugee camp in Jordan. Jeanine is also the president of Crossing Borders Melbourne, which is a student-run organisation that aims to improve refugee and asylum seeker health through direct assistance, education and advocacy. Jeanine is an active writer, having published a number of articles on the intersection between war & politics and health.
