AMSA GHC2018

Welcome! We are incredibly excited to invite you to join us at the Australian Medical Student Association’s (AMSA) 14th annual Global Health Conference (GHC) in Melbourne 2018!

AMSA is the peak body that connects, informs, and represents Australia’s 17,000 medical students through advocacy campaigns, events, and publications. In its 15 years, AMSA’s Global Health Conference (GHC) has quickly become one of the largest student-run conferences in the world. Attracting over 700 medical students from across Australia and New Zealand, it has been long known to be an event not to be missed.

Motivational from start to finish, the carbon-neutral GHC combines academic excellence with social and environmental responsibility, to create an atmosphere alight with passion and excitement to improve the world around us. Our fantastic previous speakers, both Australian and international, have included Julian Burnside AO QC, Dr Ben Goldacre and Dr Stewart Condon, and we have donated more than $4000 to relevant programs including the Asylum Seekers Resource Centre and Schistosomiasis Control Initiative.

In 2018, we will be hosting the largest number of delegates yet in Melbourne’s iconic Town Hall to unpack the most potent global and local health issues. For the first time ever, we will bring delegates together for one cause, daring to translate the passion that GHC is known for into actions within our world. From inspiring plenaries to actionable workshops, mindful morning events to extravagant galas; we promise an experience no less than spectacular.

We can’t wait to meet you!
